TERRAIN

Meet Altis and Stratis, your open-world battlefields featured in Arma 3. Quaint, Mediterranean islands ravaged by hostile occupation, they are the largest and most-detailed terrains yet debuted in the Arma series.

ALTIS

Clocking-in at 270 km2, Altis truly is the star of Arma 3. From expansive cities to rolling hills, from wind farms to solar farms, whether steamrolling your tank across the southern plains, or waging asymmetric warfare from the northern hills, the Altis landscape lends itself to some of the most detailed locales and varied engagements.

STRATIS

With rugged terrain, expansive forests and a man-made airbase, Stratis offers a wealth of opportunities with which to wage war. Take to the skies in an attack helicopter, or fight on foot across this 20 km2, near-future battlefield. The choice is yours.

WEAPONS

Bolstered by new weapon attachments and customizable gear, Arma 3's wide variety of accurately modelled weaponry opens up multiple avenues for you to accomplish your mission.

WEAPONS CLASSES

Defining your mission parameters is vital to selecting the right weapon. Will you be fighting up-close and personal, or picking your targets off from a distance? Will the attack take place during the day, or under the cover of darkness? Make use of Arma 3's distinct weapon classes for devastating effect.

BALLISTICS

A good soldier is fast, exact and effective with his weapon, each of which features realistic ballistics and handling in Arma 3. Zero your weapon to account for bullet drop, adjust your profile to lower your recoil, and fire in short bursts to reduce bullet dispersion. Fail to do so and your enemy may gain the upper hand.

CUSTOMIZABLE ATTACHMENTS & GEAR

VEHICLES

If speed is of the essence, or you're in need of a little extra firepower, acquiring the support of a vehicle is always an option. With tanks on the ground and helicopters in the air, conduct combined arms warfare across the vast landscapes of Arma 3.

VEHICLE CLASSES

Whether via sea, air, or land, Arma 3 features a vast array of vehicles. Fly low and fast to the landing zone in a helicopter, or dash across the vast ocean expanse in a speedboat. For those insertions where surprise is key, deploy the SDV and approach the target from below.

PHYSICS

The introduction of a new PhysX-powered physics model has resulted in the most detailed vehicle simulation yet seen in the Arma series. Momentum, suspension and gravity all play a much bigger role in enhancing the vehicular experience of Arma 3.

SUBMERSIBLES

One of the most significant additions to Arma 3 is the introduction of underwater environments and, along with them, submersible vehicles such as the SDV. Armed with working periscopes, Picture-in-Picture displays and powerful floodlights, survey the ocean depths or sneak up on the enemy base for a surprise night-time raid.
